Manufactured with threads which conform with the American standard taper pipe thread and have a good resistance to vibration and pipe movement. To make a connection, tighten a minimum of 2 1/2 turns after hand tightening. Tapered threads of the pipe mesh with tapered thread of fitting form an air tight seal.
